This two-part book series begins young learners’ reading journey as they develop reading and
literacy through two levels of experiences—the Ready to Read Book 1 and Ready to Read Book 2.
- Provides foundational skills for reading and literacy development of pupils
- Engages pupils in activities that aid in the development of skills in recognizing similarities and differences as seen in symbols, pictures, letters, and words
- Includes individual and group activities that help develop pupils’ respect, cooperativeness, and independence
- Allows pupils to discover words that begin and end with single vowel sounds and single consonant sounds
- Exposes pupils to literacy experiences that will allow them to be aware of themselves, other people, their surroundings, and their cultural environment
