Experiencing the World of MAPEH for grades 7 to 10 is a new textbook series created and produced to cater to the needs, skills, and abilities of the junior high school students in compliance with the Department of Education’s K to 12 Program. It is designed to offer relevant and updated concepts and skills that will enhance the knowledge and skills of the students about the different components of MAPEH.
The Music section adheres to the DepEd K to 12 Curriculum that embodies the best practices advocated by the spiral, multi-cultural, and integrated approaches in music education, as well as current philosophical thoughts about contemporary general education.
The Arts section shows visualization of the history, evolution, and creativity of the different cultures. It is the merging of all these that allows the students to discover, appreciate, and celebrate their similarities with our own culture in order to find and achieve unity in such diversity.
The Physical Education section aims for the total physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of the students. The subject promotes healthy lifestyle by giving emphasis on the importance of exercise, nutrition, and rest.
The Health section discusses the importance of the students’ attainment and development of basic principles, attitude, and acquisition of self-awareness and self-management regarding personal and family health, nutrition, injury prevention, safety and first aid, substance use and abuse, and prevention and control of diseases and disorder.
